Curtains

This evening, I came across something written by my 11-year-old-son.  Insightful and poignant, inspiring and amazing...and an incredible reminder that we can all conquer obstacles, rise above, and meet every challenge to help shape and mold our own reality.  As a parent, if we are lucky, we learn as much as we teach.  And tonight was definitely a teaching moment for me.  Love that kid to pieces!

Curtains

Have you ever thought of opening up a whole new world of opportunities like to become an astronaut, a rock star, or a teacher?

We all have blinds that block our dreams from becoming reality.  For some, who may be challenged with disabilities, there are even more blinds...but they can still conquer them and see the light. 

In all seriousness, we all can open our curtains and free ourselves from the blinds to be whatever we want no matter what they say.
